Megan Bain
Birth Doula
Postpartum Doula

Megan has always had a role working with children and families. Prior to becoming a doula she earned two degrees in Early Childhood Education, a B.S from Lesley College and an M.Ed. from Rhode Island College. Her role as a teacher gave her the opportunity to see children and families growing together from an early stage in life. It was because of her level of comfort and professionalism with families that her transition from teacher to doula was very natural.

Her professional doula career began after she completed her first doula training in 2012. She was immediately humbled and honored to support families as they experienced such a remarkable life transition. Megan then expanded her services to include overnight postpartum doula care. As her knowledge base grew, so did the positive and glowing feedback she received. Much of her time with clients involves sharing information and local resources with families and providing reassurance. She believes new parents can thrive when they are able to make informed and supported decisions for their families.

She is a former Co-President and current member of Doulas of Rhode Island - a non profit group comprised of local doulas that work to educate their community about doulas and the support they provide.

Megan lives in Rhode Island with her husband and children.

She is currently accepting clients in Rhode Island and Southeastern Connecticut.
